God and Medicine

This started as a personal journal to share my experiences in Haiti with friends and family. For those who are still following, my return to Haiti has been postponed again, but I will be bringing colleagues with me this time, and we will be well supplied. I am in constant communication with my colleaques in Haiti, and I'm developing new relationships stateside as well. Keep looking for any tents and crutches, and send them to Haiti as soon as you can. The only way I know to get them there is to mail them to the Consulate General of Haiti in Miami, but I'm sure there are other ways. You can get the Consulate address online or in my blog. I don't expect to be blogging much in the near future, at least until we get closer to departure near the end of March. For those interested, I will continue my daily journal in country. Finally, I may have suggested earlier that my trip to Haiti was somewhat of a spiritual revival for me. It was very much that, but this aspect of my experience was unanticipated, and I have yet to accurately compose a description of what exactly happened to me during those 2 weeks. Let's just say that I am grateful for the opportunity I was given to help those in need, but in return for my efforts I recieved an unexpected gift. I now enjoy a much better understanding of life, death, God and Medicine. For this, I will be forever grateful to the people of Haiti...g
