Home at last
Feels weird, so many fat people, there are none in Haiti, unless you count the fat American Doctors! I lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks in Haiti, maybe I'll write a diet book, LOL, plus I got a tan! I'll be spending the weekend with Johanna, I'm pulling her from school to do the Great Wolf, then back to work on monday, I've had quite the spiritual revival, it was an experience to say the least. I will try to put it into words, when I do, I may share it with you. Thanks for all your support, I will let you know my plans for a return trip, this will be a marathon, the devastation is immense and it will take several years of recovery. There wasn't enough room on the private plane for me, but I didn't give up my passport either. I was able to skirt the "Blackwater" security thanks to my military friends stationed adjacent to the Airport. I walked to the first evacuation plane, picked up a woman's bags for her, and waltzed onto a C17 cargo plane bound for "somewhere in Florida". I arrived at an Airforce base outside Orlando, the greeting was quite extraordinary as we were all "emergency evacuees", I was exhausted and crashed at the first Hotel I found, thank God for plastic!...g

WELCOME HOME! We are glad you are back safe and sound. Enjoy the time with Johanna. Give yourself lots of room to process what you have endured. You have touched so many lives here and in Haiti. May God bless and comfort you.
